Easy-living: Find your best Summer style

Updated: Apr 11, 2023

There is always that one summer that changes you. — Beth Merlin

Get ready for sunny days and chill nights with these 7 tips to create your perfect summer look, especially when the weather heats up.

#1. HOW TO MAKE WAVES

To make waves in and out of the water, try a mix and match of shades from this season’s go-to color palette: pink and brown. From flowy details that channel the ocean, to printed swim shorts with playful patterns, you’ll be catching the good vibes wherever your summer adventure takes you.

#2. POOLSIDE ETIQUETTE

Poolside attire calls for a bit of versatility - going from sunbathing to cannonballing can happen at a moment’s notice. Make the balancing act easy with summer styling: dress up your swimwear with casual separates for the perfect mix. This way you’re ready to go, whether lounging in a linen top with swim shorts, or staying cool in a breezy cotton skirt after a quick dip.

#3. KEEP IT COOL (AS A COCONUT)

Our light and airy fabrics, colours, and shapes are designed to help keep you cool without sacrificing in the style department. Bare your shoulders to catch the ocean breeze, or wear a breathable linen shirt over a simple tee for summer appropriate layering. Add bottoms in a palm tree print and you’ll quickly end up as one tall glass of (coconut) water.

#4. ALWAYS STAY SWEET

One of summertime’s greatest hits is a freshly cut slice of watermelon. When you’re feeling a little parched and in need of a sweet fix, grab a slice of this wonder fruit for the perfect pick-me-up. Take some styling inspiration and pair a cute top in a bright hue along with seasonal belted shorts.

#5. NAPPING IS ALLOWED

Get the most relaxation from the summer holidays by knowing when to take a break from the beach and enjoy an afternoon siesta. For the perfect golden hour, trade in your swimsuit for a comfy pocket tee or colorful tank, add relaxed white denim and a good read.

#6. FROM SEASIDE TO STREET-SIDE

Social calendars tend to get packed in the summer, so you better be ready to go from boardwalk to rooftop at the flip of a switch. Wear relaxed linen or a versatile jumpsuit that can be pared down for day and dressed up for warm summer date nights.

#7. IF YOU MUST, EMBRACE YOUR DARK SIDE

Even if you’re out of vacation days and the tan is not happening this year, you can still go dark for summer. Navy is the new way to transition away from your winter blacks and into summer appropriate attire. The frilled tee is the perfect transition piece that is great for both work and play. Don’t forget to lighten the mood with a pair of casual white sneakers.
